Vivek Rengaraj is the Institute Lead at BYK. He has been part of the Institute ever since its inception. With close to a decade’s experience in Yoga, Vivek is a teacher who delights in transforming complexity into clarity. Whether he is guiding students through challenging asanas or unpacking dense philosophical ideas, he excels at breaking concepts into simple, approachable steps. His sincerity, discipline, and structured thinking add tremendous value to the learning environment at BYK.
Vivek is someone who holds both the Institute’s vision and the steady discipline needed to guide a learning community. He balances tradition with thoughtful innovation, ensuring that students receive an authentic, structured, and nurturing experience.
Deeply inspired by his teacher, Sri M, Vivek’s motivation stems from witnessing the humility, energy, and ever-evolving clarity with which Sri M teaches. This inspires him to keep learning—not by constantly seeking new subjects, but by returning to foundational teachings with greater depth and understanding.
Outside the classroom, Vivek loves exploring the city on his bike, immersing himself in Carnatic music, or enjoying a Bharatanatyam performance whenever he gets the chance.
Vivek is the lead trainer for all the Teacher Training programs, Intermediate and Advance Yoga classes at BYK.

Chitra Ganesh is the Academic Lead at BYK. A yoga exponent and practitioner for more than a decade, she is known for her heartfelt approach and ability to help students experience balanced living through traditional yogic practices. With a deep belief that yoga is a complete way of life, she blends practice and philosophy into her sessions, sharing her experiences, making Yoga meaningful and accessible to all age groups.
Her teaching focuses on helping students improve their physical and mental health, develop inner clarity, and understand yoga beyond the mat. She is especially passionate about sharing knowledge from different Spiritual traditions and facilitates the Yoga Sangha at BYK. She also facilitates the yearly Navaratri Sadhana, Kids Camps, Digital detox retreats, TTCs, Purnima and Ekadashi Meditation sessions at BYK.
Currently deepening her Mantra sadhana and pursuing studies in Naturopathy, she remains a dedicated lifelong learner on the path. At BYK, she contributes not only through her classes but also through her strong planning and organizational abilities, by curating new programs, designing curriculum and courses to support the community’s larger vision. She also supports and guides the teachers at BYK on things relevant to their journey or the courses they handle.
Outside her practice, she finds joy in travelling, cooking, going on nature treks, singing and listening to old Hindi songs and reading—each reflecting her warm and expressive personality. For Chitra, yoga is the golden thread that weaves through the fabric of life, echoing Sri M’s teachings on finding balance and moderation.

Vanitha Narayana brings a calm, grounded presence to every class she leads. With a deep love for the fundamentals of Yoga, a decade’s experience, she specialises in introducing beginners to the practice through clear guidance, mindful sequencing and a strong philosophical base. She enjoys working with students who are new to Yoga, helping them build confidence, awareness and a steady foundation.
Her own motivation comes from the transformative benefits Yoga brings to her daily life, and she teaches with the intention of offering the same clarity and balance to her students. Currently exploring Yoga for Children, Vanitha integrates simple yet meaningful learning tools into her school-based classes as well.
When she’s not teaching, Vanitha enjoys reading, travelling to new places and exploring different cuisines. Gentle, thoughtful and dedicated, she embodies the spirit of a lifelong Yoga student while inspiring others to begin their own journey with confidence.
Vanitha has been one of the key facilitators for the Teacher’s Training programs at BYK and has been part of the institute since its inception. She is currently spearheading the Yoga sessions at The Satsang Vidyalaya school at Madanapalle. She is also the facilitator for the Pranayama and Meditation classes at BYK.

Vijayendra Venkatesh is a dedicated yoga instructor with over seven years of experience guiding students across all age groups. His teaching weaves together, foundational asanas, pranayama and deep relaxation practices to create grounding, balanced, and mindful sessions.
With a strong command of asana sequencing and breathwork, Vijayendra offers thoughtfully structured classes that nurture physical vitality, emotional balance, and inner awareness. His calm presence and adaptable teaching style allow him to meet students exactly where they are, creating a supportive space for growth, authenticity, and self-exploration.
His inspiration comes from witnessing the positive shifts yoga brings to his students and from the joy of serving the community through this ancient wisdom.
Beyond the mat, his greatest passion is yoga itself – exploring its spiritual depths, learning systematically, and immersing himself in the journey with sincerity and devotion.
Vijayendra is the key facilitator for our Intermediate practice classes, Kids Summer camps, Children’s Yoga Teacher Training Program and Balavidya classes.

Deepali Verma is a dedicated yoga teacher known for her energising asana classes and her ability to gently guide students beyond their comfort zones. With a natural gift for helping practitioners open the body and mind, she blends asana and pranayama to create balanced, mindful, and transformative sessions.
Deepali’s personal sadhana is rooted in discipline and presence. She finds profound mental balance through daily practice and resonates deeply with the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita – especially the teaching on performing one’s duty without attachment to the outcome.
Currently pursuing advanced asana training, Deepali continues to evolve as a practitioner. With strong communication skills and talents in podcasting, devotional singing, and community building, Deepali brings creativity and warmth to her role. Yoga is not just her profession but her sadhana, her hobby, and her “me-time.”

Pranav Reddy is a dedicated yoga practitioner and teacher whose approach is deeply rooted in tradition, devotion, and the teachings of Sri.M. With a passion for making yoga both meaningful and accessible, he brings clarity, sincerity, and warmth to every session.
His classes are thoughtfully structured—beginning with practical insights from scriptures, followed by strengthening and mobility practices. This blend of philosophy and practice helps students experience yoga as a complete, integrated discipline.
A lifelong learner and an alumni of BYK, he continues to deepen his study of Yoga, with a special inclination toward Bhakti Yoga, which has had the deepest impact on his own spiritual journey..
Open to working with all age groups, he connects with students with ease and is very approachable and friendly to all. His aspiration is to further explore Nāda Yoga, expanding the subtle dimensions of his sadhana.
Grounded and composed, Pranav leads the Yoga sessions for the local community at the Yogashala at our Madanapalle campus. Beyond the mat, he enjoys exploring new interests and continues to work in areas that contribute positively to the community at BYK.

With a heart rooted deeply in yogic learning and inner growth, Shubha brings a balanced and sincere presence into every class she teaches.
Shubha enjoys teaching all age groups, finding joy simply in the act of teaching itself. She describes her motivation humbly — she teaches because it makes her feel happy, and that happiness inspires her to give her very best each time.
Outside her formal practice, she finds joy in reading, both fiction and subjects close to her heart, and singing, which adds a gentle creative rhythm to her life.
Grounded, sincere, and always learning, she brings authenticity and depth to her teaching — creating a space where students feel supported, inspired, and gently guided towards their own inner journey.
Shubha is a certified Ayurvedic doctor and that adds another dimension to her persona. She has been supporting the institute since its inception and brings vast experience and knowledge in the space of Yoga and Ayurveda.
Shubha facilitates the Teacher training programs, Ayurveda workshops, Balavidya and Navaratri Sadhana courses at BYK.

Paavitra Nahar brings a vibrant blend of joy, devotion, and deep inner transformation to her teaching. She teaches with a warm, relatable style that helps students grasp practices quickly and joyfully. She thrives while working with children, where she brings Yoga alive through stories, play, and creativity. Her connection with kids is natural and intuitive — something she cherishes deeply.
At BYK Paavitra brings forward her creative spirit as well — she loves taking videos and enjoys contributing to social media work. She also enjoys cooking and feeding others, long walks, swimming, listening to live music and is learning to play the sarod herself. She plans to pursue a Master’s in Yoga sometime.
Rooted in devotion, equipped with compassion, and full of infectious enthusiasm, she guides students with warmth, simplicity, and an authentic connection to the heart of Yoga.

Nithyashree Ganesh is a dedicated yoga teacher whose path is rooted deeply in Bhakti, Jnana, and the transformative power of sacred sound. With a natural gift for mantra chanting, pranayama, and guided meditation, she brings together tradition, science, and heartfelt devotion in every session. Her classes often weave in knowledge from classical texts—creating a space where students can learn, reflect, and experience yoga beyond the mat.
She is currently pursuing the study of Sama Veda, along with the Yoga Shastra of the Bhagavad Gita, enriching her teaching with authenticity and lived experience.
For Nithya, yoga is both practice and prayer. She believes in showing up each day with sincerity, deepening her understanding through self-reflection and seeking guidance from her Guru.
Beyond teaching, Nithya is an enthusiastic traveller, trekker, reader, and student of music, always exploring new terrains—inner and outer. With a warm presence and a grounded approach, she brings clarity, devotion, and inspiration to every class she leads.

Priya Kalahasti is a passionate and dedicated teacher at BYK, known for her clarity, depth of study, and her ability to bring ancient chants to life with meaning and context. Her teaching style blends traditional wisdom with scientific insight, making the practice of chanting both accessible and profoundly enriching for modern seekers.
Priya specializes in Vedic and non-Vedic chanting, the science behind sound, and basic Sanskrit, helping students understand not just how to chant, but why we chant. She gently bridges scriptural knowledge with neuroscience, guiding learners into a deeper appreciation of mantra, vibration, and inner stillness.
A lifelong learner, Priya continues to study new chants and their interpretations, along with advanced Sanskrit—exploring the meanings of classical texts like the Panchatantra and Hitopadesha, as well as the etymology of Sanskrit words. Her dream is to one day learn the Sama Veda, a pursuit she continues to hold with devotion and hope.

Rooted in creativity and compassion, Srilakshmi brings a gentle, student-centered approach to teaching. With a natural love for art, craft, psychology, and mental well-being, she enjoys creating spaces where students can express themselves freely and grow with confidence. She especially thrives in offline classes with children, where her creativity and understanding of young minds truly shine.
Deeply inspired by the meditative and self-awareness practices of Yoga, she continues to learn and evolve through regular sadhana, online study, and personal exploration of mental health and personal development.
Calm, patient, and observant, she centres herself through balance, awareness, and consistency — the same values she shares with her students.
Outside her practice, she enjoys art, craft, reading, and learning new creative skills — hobbies that naturally enrich her classes with colour, imagination, and joy.
Srilakshmi facilitates Art, Craft and Child Psychology classes at BYK

Upma Tambulkar is the Student Affairs Lead at BYK. Curious, detail-oriented, and naturally solution-driven, Upma thrives in dynamic environments where she can keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. She welcomes all kinds of tasks — collaborating with people, administration, managing creative workflows — and her knack for spotting errors is one of her quiet superpowers. From course registrations to answering queries to handling testimonials, Upma wears multiple hats in her role.
She is motivated by progress: solving problems, embracing variety in her work, and learning new things whenever the opportunity arises. Her role has had a meaningful impact on her life, strengthening her ability to troubleshoot, adapt, and support others with clarity and steadiness.
She continues to explore the philosophical foundations of yoga, including the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and texts from the Nath tradition.
Outside of work, she loves reading, power-walking, researching unusual topics, and unwinding with crime drama marathons. She looks forward to learning new skills such as woodwork, painting, and coding in the future.

Hidhayath Ulla is a video editor with a deep passion for storytelling. Whether it’s writing, shooting, or editing, he loves transforming everyday moments into meaningful narratives. His work blends creativity, emotion, and purpose, making each project more than just a visual experience.
With a strong foundation in video editing and narrative shaping, Hidhayath specialises in creating impactful stories that resonate. He thrives when fully immersed in the creative process, bringing ideas to life through thoughtful visual expression. What drives him is the belief that meaningful content can truly inspire and uplift people. Every project becomes an opportunity to contribute to something larger — to share knowledge, evoke emotion, and spark reflection.
A lifelong learner, he is currently upskilling through the Ultimate Editors Course, and is keen to explore advanced generative AI, visual effects, and deeper storytelling techniques. His interest in AI, human consciousness, emerging tech, and astrology continually enriches his creative vision.
Outside work, he enjoys trekking, movies, chess, and writing stories—all of which inspire and shape his storytelling craft.
Hidayath plays the key role of Video editing and supports the Marketing team at BYK.

Ananya Sarkar is a brand positioning and marketing specialist at BYK, where she helps translate traditional yogic teachings into communication that is clear, contemporary, and deeply aligned with the organisation’s values. With a natural affinity for ideas, aesthetics, and cultural nuance, she works at the intersection of creative direction and strategic thinking — shaping how offerings are framed, how narratives are crafted, and how diverse audiences connect with the teachings.
Her work is informed by a steady engagement with classical texts like Bhagavad Gita, Sri M’s books, and other foundational references that support her understanding of context and tradition. Alongside this, she continually upskills in digital marketing trends and emerging tools, ensuring BYK’s communication remains both authentic and relevant in a digital-first world.
What drives her most is the possibility of building coherence and community — creating messaging that not only reflects the essence of the teachings but also makes them accessible, meaningful, and emotionally resonant. She enjoys collaborating with videographers, editors, designers, writers, and creative teams to bring thoughtful ideas to life.
Outside of work, Ananya is drawn to jazz, films, visual storytelling, and design. She hopes to learn classical jazz formally, pick up filmmaking skills to create socially reflective short films, and revisit the harmonica and Hindustani music she learnt as a child.
