Standing Poses
Standing Asanas are practiced in an upright position and form the foundation of most Yoga practices. They develop strength in the legs, hips, and spine while improving balance, coordination, and body awareness. These postures bring alertness and steadiness, helping the practitioner learn how to distribute weight evenly and stand with ease and confidence. Though they may feel effortful in the beginning, standing poses gradually build endurance and stability that support all other categories of Asanas.
